Manage episode 507536236 series 3017314
It’s easy to live our lives in such a routine that we end up in a rut. A rut is a well-worn groove in the road that once a vehicle’s tires get into its hard to get out of. When this happens to our life we tend to get complacent to the point of literally running on autopilot. Symptoms include; we begin to deeply resent anything like a new idea, we don’t like change of any sort, or even a new and better way of considering familiar things. Emmet Fox gives us hope in the truth that, “Now is the day of salvation. Start right in today to handle at least one important part of your life in a new way. Break at least one rusty fetter today, and once this process begins you will be astonished to find how far you will go, and what wonderful things you will attain to.” On this episode Darrell and Ed share examples and the benefits of breaking free from running on autopilot. Special guest Summer Nichols enthusiastically motivates all of us to leave autopilot and land in life with today’s reading, “Be Different!”
