He went to school wanting to be a politician in the US in order help Bosnia & Herzegovina but ended up working at Facebook designing the publishing user experience. This is the story of Meaz Hajdarovic, a political science graduate and self-taught user experience designer who took a very unconventional path to his true calling. He was born in Capljina and his early childhood is marked by memories of constantly being on the run during the war in Bosnia & Herzegovina, taking refuge in different homes between Stolac and Mostar where his family lived. Years later he has established himself as a highly sought after designer and is now ready to give back to his homeland. We unravel the design world with Meaz, exploring how the user experience is designed and implemented at a company like Facebook, examining the phases and importance of them, lessons learned and importance of being open to constructive criticism.
