You can obtain an online sick certificate to take a leave from work or class for a minor illness lasting one to five days. The first step is to find a sickness certificate provider that collaborates with Irish-certified physicians.

Just visit the website of the provider and fill up the medical questionnaire. Click submit with your payment in order to complete the process. The doctor reviews the medical questionnaire, and if they require further details, they might call you. After the evaluation is complete, the deserving people get a sick certificate by email or through services like WhatsApp.

One more thing is that online sick certificates do not work for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and they are not eligible for any kind of medical emergencies or serious bruises. For all these factors, one must see a GP in person.
