The traumatic events that we go through in life can take their toll on us physically, emotionally and mentally. Research has shown that stress, trauma and repressed emotions are capable of causing persistent real pain and other physical symptoms, along with affecting our mental health. There is no one-size-fits-all way of dealing with our traumas in order to find our way to healing. Some of the more traditional methods work for some but not always for others.
