The Black Loyalist Heritage Centre is one of Canada’s best-kept secrets, but it’s hardly hidden away. On the western shores of Shelburne Harbour, Nova Scotia, in the picturesque Birchtown Bay—the third largest natural harbour in the world—this historical treasure is filled with stories about the courageous Black Loyalists who sought freedom and a new beginning in the late 18th century.
