My guest in this episode is Abdulrahman Bindamnan. He moved to the United States from Yemen in 2016, after winning an international scholarship through The Hadhramout Foundation. He arrived here with the goal to start university, without a word of English. He attended the University of Miami, where he got a BA in Psychology and Religion, which we talk about in this episode. Then he got his Masters from Penn Graduate School for Education.
On the podcast, we talked about his “Zero-generation College Student” experience, which is a term he coined based on his experience. We also talk about his upbringing in Yemen, the challenges international students face, the gap between Eastern and Western styles of education, and his future work as a Ph.D. student. Abdulrahman is one of those people that I could talk to for hours. I hope you enjoy this episode.

Thank you for listening, and keep on creating!
