What are the key Insights for our Health Goals during the Holiday Season?

1. Holiday weight gain is still real, but it tends to be modest, like 5-10lbs.

2. Retention matters: what's gained isn't always lost, meaning these small seasonal gains could compound over time.

3. Overeating is a big part of the problem — not necessarily burning fewer calories, but eating more, especially in environments rich with cues (parties, food, restaurant meals).

4. Preventive strategies (exercise, controlled eating) can help, but each person's journey is unique, and we don't have enough studies for real outcomes.

5. Not all weight gain is equal — the composition of gained weight may differ (muscle vs fat), which has different implications for health. Especially, if you are taking a weight loss drug - GLP1 drug!
