Donald Trump heralded a cease-fire between Israel and Iran on Monday evening – and then spent the next several hours keeping it in place. Trump exploded in frustration Tuesday over the retaliatory exchanges that continued past the deadline, declaring that neither country knows what they’re doing.

By later in the morning, both countries appeared resolved to stop any more attacks. However, Israel remains rightly concerned that the regime in Tehran will not stop its 46-year campaign of genocide against Jews and annihilation of the Jewish state. Already, the Iranians are declaring their intent to reconstitute their nuclear weapons program.

The only real path to peace is through regime change. Neither the US nor the Israelis can force the regime out of power, but we can support the Iranian people and encourage them to lift themselves from the tyranny that has subjugated them since 1979. All of our policies toward Iran should focus on freedom and liberty for a great people, and the end of a regime that only wants to watch the world burn.
