In February 1999, Calgary physiotherapist Audrey Trudeau vanished without a trace. Known for her kindness and generosity, Audrey had opened her home to a friend and coworker, Deborah Point, who was struggling financially. What began as an act of compassion ended in horror. Five months later, Audrey’s dismembered remains were discovered stuffed into cardboard boxes in a southwest Calgary garage. She had been stabbed 15 times in the back of her head with an axe-like weapon.
