On Tuesday November 18, the Albany County Legislature held a public hearing on amending an existing county law to allow nuclear power to count as green energy, which would allow firms involved in the nuclear industry to qualify for county subsidies for up to 10% of the cost of the project. We hear from three speakers in opposition – Mark Schaeffer, Tom Ellis, and Anne Rabe – and one in support – Keith Schue. The were many union members, RPI students, and business people who spoke in favor of the amendment.
