In this episode, we wrap up the materials of the sanctuary: silver and bronze.
Silver: in today's value, there was trillions of dollars worth of silver in the tent and Tabernacle.
Damon explains how silver represented the world around the Israelites (just like the Egyptians viewed silver like the moon) and it was also a shadow and type of Christ - reflecting back to oneself the inner character.

We discuss the symbolism of the silver in the fittings and how it sparkled in the light, just like the inner of light of believers sparkles through.
Bronze: represented invincibility and perpetuity/eternal
Zech 6:1
Bronze would patina green (like an evergreen tree).
The Altar:
The first piece of furniture you see in the Courtyard is the altar. It stood between the Israelites and God. It was the first station someone would come to after coming to the gate.
The altar was made of wood overlaid with bronze.
As a first experience it was like getting closer to God. It was a picture of Christ - as the wood overlaid with bronze represents Christ as the bronze covering the perishable wood (humans) with his righteousness that would stand the test of time.
Psalm 1:3
In scripture mankind is often pictured as a tree - like the wood covered in bronze. A picture of the dual nature of Christ.
Exodus 3:1-2
At the altar, sin was consumed. The entire animal was placed on the altar as atonement for sin. The blood was sprinkled and poured out. The is a symbol of the Son of God being sacrificed for man - the animal is the proxy.
The horns on the altar are a picture of our salvation and strength; hope of life.
2 Samuel 22:3
The sacrifice is reduced to ashes. The ashes from the burnt offerings are a picture of the finality of sin - just like the world will be ashes after God eradicates sin once and for all after the Millenium. The ashes mean the sin is gone.
