Dance can expose human emotion through movement, and there is no one who achieves that philosophy more than the Martha Graham Dance Company, a world leader in the evolving art form of modern dance since its founding in 1926. Martha Graham was a visionary of the 20th century, often considered an artistic force and icon for revolutionizing dance and theater. A former company dancer herself, Janet Eilber has been the artistic director since 2005, and has modernized the dance company to what it is today while maintaining the Graham legacy. She opens up about how she has kept the dance company relevant through video conferences, partnerships, live shows across the world, new choreographers and more, all while continuing to celebrate the Martha Graham Dance Company as it approaches 100 years.
