In this episode of Inside UNT Health, we sit down with Dr. Teresa McKinney, Ed.D., Director of the Student Assistance Resource Center (SARC), and Ella Harris, M.Ed., Student Services Specialist, to explore the heart of student support at UNT Health Science Center. They share how SARC works to meet students’ basic needs, build community, and ensure that no student faces challenges alone.

We dive into their upcoming “Stuff with SARC” event on November 19th from 11 AM–3 PM in IREB 100, where students can connect with resources, support services, and take home essentials. Dr. McKinney and Ms. Harris also spotlight the ongoing SARCS Giving Food Drive, running November 1–18 at the UNT Health Student Service Center, room 211, and explain how every donation directly impacts student well-being.

Tune in to learn how SARC is creating a culture of care—and how you can be part of it.
