What kind of dream are you chasing? Is it filled with promise or pulling you away from what matters most?

In today’s Anchor Point, we dig into this question through a story of someone who traded stability for freedom: sold her house, adopted a nomadic lifestyle, stepped away from family commitments. And while I’m not judging her choices, I am asking: when our dreams override the blessings God has placed in our lives, are we truly following His will or just our own desires?

Today we explore:

  • How to recognize when our dreams are aligned with God’s will
  • The difference between desires that serve Jesus and impulses that serve self
  • Practical steps to bring our passions under the Lord’s purposes, not let them run wild without Him

Scripture (NIV):

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5‑6
