Sometimes the greatest voices come from places no one’s watching. That’s what happened in Ferrisburgh, Vermont — when I went with Eve to visit her hometown and she told me about her grade school janitor, Donny Myers.

She said, “He used to sing ‘Centerfield’ for the kids — like it was the World Series.”
I said, “You think he’s still got that swing?”
Next thing you know, Donny stepped through the Intraface Sound Bridge, still carrying that glove, still humming that hook.
