"Sometimes the signs of a vision issue don’t show up in an eye exam—they show up in your child’s behavior."
In this episode, Jessica shares three key behaviors at home that could indicate your child is struggling with a hidden vision issue. While a 20/20 eye exam might suggest everything is fine, these red flags could signal there’s more going on beneath the surface.

Behaviors to Watch For:

  1. Difficulty Paying Attention – Symptoms that mimic ADHD, like trouble focusing on tasks, could be related to convergence insufficiency or other vision challenges.
  2. Emotional Exhaustion After School – If your child melts down or becomes irritable at home, it may be due to the strain of compensating for vision issues throughout the school day.
  3. Clumsiness and Spatial Awareness Issues – Frequent tripping, bumping into objects, or difficulty with left/right orientation may point to problems with depth perception or visual processing.

Jessica explains how these behaviors often go unnoticed or misdiagnosed but can be addressed through vision therapy. If these signs resonate with you, tune in to learn more about how to support your child and where to seek help.
