Day 19 October 19,2025

In today’s episode, we’re taking a quick break from our Final Destination movie coverage before diving into the fifth installment. I’m excited to bring you all an incredible interview featuring writer and director Joseph Taft and returning guest, actress Alison O’Leary, as we discuss their new short film, Hey, Missy!

We go behind the scenes with these two amazingly talented creatives to explore what it’s like working together, their artistic visions, and the teamwork that brought this project to life. Both Joseph and Alison share heartfelt praise for each other, as well as for their dedicated cast and crew.

Alison, a phenomenal returning guest, immediately came to mind when I saw the trailer for Hey, Missy!—and she was the one who connected me with Joseph, making today’s interview possible. Huge shoutout to Gary Taft, Joseph’s father, who composed the music for Hey, Missy!—an awesome detail that adds even more heart to the project.

I can’t wait to see this short myself, and if you’re in Massachusetts, you can catch Hey, Missy! exclusively at Salem Cinema on November 8th. Be sure to follow the film on social media: Facebook and Instagram @heymissyshortfilm, and visit the official website missymovie.com. You can also follow Joseph Taft on Instagram @josephtaft and Alison O’Leary @alisonoleary_.

I truly believe both of these hardworking artists are destined for greatness. So, my listeners, please share and help spread the word supporting creators like Joseph and Alison makes a real difference. And don’t forget stick around until the end of the episode for a chance to win a digital download of The Fighter!
