Hip-hop track, created with a group of artist/musician/skater friends I went to high school with. We wrote this song while reuniting on a visit back years later , after we had all moved onto adulting. The lyrics reflect on growing up in a tough environment—an area affected by poverty and crime—where open-mindedness and creativity were not the norm and were often discouraged. The song emphasizes the importance of finding a supportive community of friends to uplift each other through it all and strive for success as adults.
