Just the Truth Podcast with Joey Hudson

A federal judge just threw out the indictments against James Comey and Letitia James — and the decision has a South Carolina twist.

Federal Judge Cameron McGowan Currie, a longtime South Carolina jurist and Clinton appointee, ruled that the special prosecutor who brought the cases — Lindsey Halligan, a Trump-appointed interim U.S. attorney — was not legally installed in the role.

The result? The indictments are dismissed, not because Comey and James were cleared of wrongdoing, but because of a procedural flaw in Halligan’s appointment.

The ruling is a major setback for President Trump’s Justice Department, though the White House says it will appeal.

Joey Hudson breaks down:
✅ What this ruling really means for Trump’s DOJ
✅ The legal loophole that killed the indictments
✅ Why this case runs straight through South Carolina
✅ Judge Currie’s background — from Florence to the federal bench
✅ And whether this opens the door for a re-filed case
