But what happens when these things are taken away? Are we still the same person?
During the week leading to His crucifixion, Jesus loses everything—respect, voice, position, friends. Yet he remains fully Himself: Rabbi, Prophet, King, and Friend. His identity is not built on what others say or take from Him – and because He held onto who He was, we are now free to find who we are in Him.
