Visiting speaker and “itinerant evangelist” Steve Hurd, former leader of the Ark Church in Huddersfield, on the importance of evangelism and inviting others to meet Jesus.

Steve talks about how a persistent Church of England curate’s invitations to play squash sowed the seeds of his spiritual awakening and how another CoE curate’s persistence in inviting him to events eventually led to his faith.

He talks also about how we can all be Albert McMakins. Don’t know who Albert McMakin is? Listen to this message and you will.

Steve invites us to:

1. Identify people to invite to church or other events.

2. Follow up on invitations, even if the initial response is negative.

3. Spend time with non-Christian friends and look for opportunities to share the gospel.
