Manage episode 514603942 series 3539659
In this deeply moving episode, Georgette Beck sits down with Connecticut-born artist Lisa Jill Allison to explore how creativity became her pathway from childhood trauma to healing and purpose. Lisa shares her powerful story of growing up in a household affected by mental health challenges, navigating through multiple difficult relationships, and ultimately discovering her artistic gift almost by accident when she painted murals in exchange for rent.
Now the proud owner of a stunning gallery in downtown Fort Pierce, Florida (housed in a historic bank building), Lisa creates vibrant, bold artwork that invites viewers to "escape reality and step into magic." Her work has been featured in homes internationally and shown in Miami and Manhattan.
This conversation touches on generational trauma, the importance of self-worth, the power of intuition, and how giving our gifts to the world actually heals us in return.
