On this episode of KROSS BARZ Big OH! and J. Tanae' receive valuable information from Hakim Green a former New Jersey educator. Hakim and his longtime friend, Tuffy, formed a rap group called Channel Live and was lead into success with the help of an industry icon KRS-1. We took a dive into Hip Hop music and discussed how the genre has evolved, but lost some of its primary elements. Hakim stays true to himself and continues to give back to his community through his yearly event in Newark, NJ called "24 hours of Peace". Their song "Mad Izm" is still an anthem today.
