A major Amazon Web Services outage has disabled large swaths of the internet. AWS is a cloud service that underpins millions of apps and websites. The first error reports came just after 3 a.m. Amazon itself is affected, along with McDonald's, Hulu, and Roblox. Down Detector says many banks have been affected, along with communication tools like Slack, Zoom, and Snapchat.
