This episode is the final part of a 4-part series about English for work and business.
This week I chatted to Triona about talking to clients and customers, and how we use formal and informal English. Formality is something that students can sometimes get a bit worried about, especially if you come from a language where the verb form, or the word “you”, can easily be made formal. We don’t have anything like that in English, but we do have lots of ways of being formal. We use vocabulary, grammar, or tone of voice, for example.
In this week’s episode Triona and I chat about these three areas and about how to talk to customers and clients in a business situation. Along the way, I explain lots of the vocabulary, idioms, phrasal verbs and other expressions we use.
As always, all the material is on the website: everestlanguageschool.com/podcast
