The Director of Emergency Services for Donegal County Council says that a mountain fire in Knock Colva and An Bearnas Mór has destroyed habitat, nature and land. Tá scrios déanta ar ghnáthóg, dúlra agus talamh ag loscadh sléibhe i gCnoc Colbha agus an Bearnas Mór a deir Stiúrthóir Seirbhíse Éigeandála Chomhairle Chontae Dhún na nGall. The County Council had also recruited a helicopter from Executive Helicopters who were able to drop 1,200 litres of water onto the fire from a special bucket, from 8am onwards.
