Luke chapter 18 is filled with teachings about faith, humility, and persistence. Jesus begins with the parable of the persistent widow, showing the power of continual prayer and trust in God’s justice. He then contrasts the proud Pharisee and the humble tax collector, teaching that God exalts those who admit their need for mercy. Jesus welcomes little children, saying the kingdom of God belongs to those with childlike faith, and challenges a rich ruler to give up everything to follow Him. The chapter ends with Jesus predicting His death and healing a blind man whose persistent faith opens both his eyes and his heart.
