Mitch Ekstrom is a Chicago native who served in the active-duty Coast Guard for over 30 years; attaining ranks of Chief Petty Officer, Chief Warrant Officer and retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. For Mitch’s second act, he became a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the Coast Guard, and then over to the Navy as a Product Support Manager. As of December 2024, Mitch is now fully retired! Mitch is very active in church, community, and local and international prayer ministries. He has taught and coached over 3,300 households in personal financial management, while actively helping other coaches develop their own skills and business. Mitch mentors adults and youth in the study of reasoned faith, and ministers to the residents of two nursing homes. Mitch married his high school sweetheart in 1977, and they have three children, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
