Our inspirational guest, Shelby Estocado, used her strengths to transition to life in a wheelchair. Shelby has been an athlete all of her life. From the time she was 4 years old, she had involved herself in many different sports, from hula dancing to baseball. After graduating from college, Shelby took a trip to the slopes with her friends. After a day full of snowboarding, Shelby’s friends convinced her to take one last jump, but after a clean landing on the first, she went for a second and lost control in the air. As she lay on the cold snow, she knew there was something very wrong with her body. With a spinal cord injury, Shelby learned how to navigate life from her wheelchair. Tune in to learn how Shelby continued her passion for athletics after her accident.
