Major League Baseball has had a rough year, as have we all. Recently, MLB cut hundreds of minor league players as well as minor league teams in order to save money and restructure their minor league system. Corey Gaconi, was one of those players. Corey joins the show to give his thoughts on the state of the game, life as a minor league ball player, his journey to professional baseball, playing for the Cyclones, and what's next for him in his young professional career.

It is the year 2020, yet systemic racism is still prevalent in our society. Examples of this are apparent in all walks of life, not excluding Major League Baseball. The guys give their thoughts on the Baseball's lack luster response to the Black Lives Matter movement, and share stories of players who have experienced prejudice while playing the game.

Finally, Baseball continues to insult its fans by displaying terrible negotiation tactics that have spilled out into the public eye during such an uncertain time for many Americans. Will Baseball return this season? It's not looking too hot.

We discuss it all on Episode 16 of the Loaded Basis Podcast.
