The New York Mets fell in the second game of a double-header, getting swept on the day, 7-3.
It was a spot-start for Brandon Waddell and the Mets. Waddell and Justin Hagenman combined for 5 innings of work and allowed 6 runs, 5 of them earned.
Offensively, it was a pretty similar story for the Mets as usual. They were able to snag two runs early to set up Waddell with a lead, but only had five hits and went 1-for-8 with runners in scoring position.
A quick turnaround is in the cards for New York, as they are back in action tomorrow night when they start a three game series with the Kansas City Royals to finish up the first half of the season.
