Mohamed Imran Mohamed Taib is the director of the Dialogue Centre focusing on conversations about diversity and inclusion and a founding member of Centre for Interfaith Understanding (CIFU) an inclusive interfaith organisation. He was previously working in government service for 19 years and was a former associate research fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies. He writes frequently on issues of religion and multiculturalism and has published in local and international news agencies such as Straits Times, Channel News Asia, Today Online and SCMP. He has been a frequent speaker and facilitator on faith and diversity issues and has delivered guest lectures in universities, government agencies, schools, community organisations and MNCs. In this episode, we discuss the Salman Rushdie attack, religious extremist behaviour, freedom of speech and expression and how we try to navigate it all.
