📖 Key Scriptures:
Psalm 130 | Joshua 4 | Luke 2
As we step into the Advent season, we begin with one of our deepest longings—hope. In this week’s message, we look at Psalm 130 and explore how the psalmist cries out “from the depths,” reminding us that real hope is born in places of sorrow, brokenness, and longing.
Just as watchmen wait for the sunrise with confidence—because it has never failed to rise—we place our hope in the God who has never failed to redeem His people. From Israel’s history to the prayer of Simeon holding the newborn Jesus, Scripture points us to a God who is faithful, merciful, and abundant in redemption.
As we live between the first and second advents of Jesus, we wait with expectation for the day He returns and makes all things new. Until then, we remember His faithfulness, we write down the ways He has shown up in our lives, and we cling to the hope that has a name—Jesus.
Join us as we light the Hope Candle and reflect on the God who meets us in the depths and lifts us into His redemption.
