One thing we often hear from international students coming to Lund is just how different the teaching style and learning environment in Sweden are compared to their previous university studies. In this episode, host Bénédicte Anthony (Master's graduate in Development Studies) speaks to Xiomara Seminarioc, also a graduate in Development Studies, about their experiences in the classroom at Lund University. Together they discuss the many challenges, expectations, and benefits of the learning environment at Lund, from the emphasis on group work and differences in teaching style to addressing your teacher and navigating a very international and multi-disciplinary classroom.
