Lieutenant General, U.S. Army (retired), Jeffrey S. Buchanan is the former commander of the United States Army North (5th Army). General Buchanan served for more than 37 years as a transformational leader across a vast range of assignments from the platoon to theater level.

His stoic perspective and unique leadership slant stems from decades of engagement in high-stake environments, to include four combat tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. His contributions to national security earned recognition from both the Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Army. Additionally, he received special commendations from the U.S. Surgeon General and the Governor of Puerto Rico for his life-saving leadership in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

Jeff Buchanan currently serves as the Commissioner of the Arizona Game and Fish Department.
