Russian authorities temporarily close Moscow airspace after more than 30 drones target city overnight

Russian air defense forces shot down 35 Ukrainian drones headed for Moscow on Wednesday night, according to Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin.
Ukrainian forces also targeted the city of Tula, Governor Dmitry Milyaev said. Drones reportedly damaged several residential and commercial buildings, and debris landed near the Oruzheynik sports complex, leaving two residents with minor injuries. The outlet Baza reported that the town of Novomoskovsk was also targeted.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported that a total of 105 Ukrainian drones were intercepted, including 35 over the Moscow region and 10 in the Tula region.
Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency imposed temporary flight restrictions overnight at all four of Moscow’s major airports, as well as at airports in Tambov and Vladimir.
