It's Easter time so it's time to mourn the dead and the past and to look forward to peace and regeneration, so what better way to celebrate than to listen to War film movie themes? "Attack Attack Attack" from consummate 'The Battle of Britain' to "Broadsword Calling Danny Boy" warblings of Richard Burton in 'Where Eagles Dare' and some 'Wild Geese' starring the 3 Rs and the most annoying kid in the history of cinema. More modern tunes too: The disturbing 'Remains' in the recent 'All Quiet on the Western Front' befitting the horror of World War One and a very surprising songs from Alex Garland's incredibly visceral 'Warfare'; 90 mins of tense, gory action. The Colonel celebrates the music of War films but is not celebrating War. War is not big and it's not clever; it is hideous and miserable and should be avoided at all costs....
