The Uttar Pradesh government has asked the Bhim Rao Ambedkar University to find out if the city of Agra where the Taj Mahal resides has an ancient name. This suggests the government is planning to rename it, as it did in the case of other cities such as Allahabad, which is now called Prayagraj.
