Acting NT Ombudsman releases report calling watch house conditions ‘unreasonable and oppressive'The show starts with a segment from a talk given by Tyson Yunkaporta in September at Black Spark on Animism and reanimating the world. Tyson Yunkaporta is an academic, an arts critic, and a researcher who belongs to the Apalech Clan in far north Queensland. He carves traditional tools and weapons and also works as a senior lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges at Deakin University in Melbourne. He is the author of Sand Talk, Right Story Wrong Story, and Snake Talk.Workers at Thorne Harbour Health are currently undertaking protected industrial action following 9 months of EBA negotiations with the LGBTQI+ healthcare organisation. the Monday Breakfast show was joined by Emma Dook, delegate for the Australian Services Union to hear about how the action is going.
