Have you ever caught yourself standing in the way of God's work rather than transparently revealing Christ to others? Today's powerful reflection draws from a familiar childhood phrase – "you make a better door than a window" – to challenge our approach to Christian living.
Drawing from Colossians 1:27 and Galatians 2:20, we explore what it truly means for Christ to live in us as "the hope of glory." The journey from spiritual immaturity to maturity often follows a predictable path: we begin focused on ourselves – our blessings, our healing, our calling – before eventually realizing that authentic Christianity shifts the spotlight entirely off ourselves and onto Jesus.
This episode delves into how our culture's obsession with material possessions and self-promotion creates spiritual "doors" that block others from seeing what truly matters. In contrast, when we embrace servanthood like Jesus and Paul modeled, we become windows through which others can glimpse the divine. Rather than being caught on camera doing something wrong, what if the watching world witnessed us serving, giving, and imitating Christ?
The world desperately needs Jesus, not more Christian influencers drawing attention to themselves. Today's encouragement calls us to radical transparency – to move out of the way so Christ can be clearly seen through us. As we pour ourselves out in service to others following Christ's example, we fulfill our highest calling as believers. Join us in this challenging but essential journey of becoming less so He can become more.
