Who is Tafari, and why do I speak so boldly to my people? In this episode, I take you on a personal journey, from the lessons I inherited from my father and mother, to the million-dollar businesses they built, to the values passed down through generations. I ask a hard question: Have we lost our masculinity in the Black community? Not masculinity as the world defines it, but the mental force, for men and women, that drives us to build, create, and sustain.
We’ll explore what true masculinity is like, the mitochondria of our people: an energy passed down, inherited, and waiting to be activated. And I’ll share why I have the authority to speak on this, because I’ve lived it. I’ve seen independence, not assimilation. I’ve seen what it means to build without bowing.
This is more than a rant. It’s a call to reclaim our dignity, restore our self-worth, and rebuild an economic ecosystem that forces others to want a seat at our table.
