The book of Job teaches us that we can trust GOD, his purpose, wisdom, and goodness even while we may be going through great suffering or trials.

Our understanding of our circumstances is limited at times and we should not lean on our understanding but trust that GOD is working out all things for our ultimate good if we are among those who love him and have been called according to his purpose.

Good times or difficult times have the potential to work for our benefit and conform us to a more perfect image of Christ.

Job invites the reader to further ponder some of life's most difficult questions.

Scripture References

Job Chapters 21-22

Acts 17:28

Philippians 4:4-7

Revelation 21:1-8

John 3:18 (I apologize I mistakenly said Jeremiah 3:18 in the podcast)

Ephesians 2:19

Galatians 6:4-5

Reflection questions in this episode:

"Do I want to focus on desiring things in this life or do I want to focus on being a fellow citizen with the Saints and being a member of the household of GOD forever?"

Encouragement:

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers." Galatians 6:7-10
