In today's episode, we're going to discuss how people can congratulate you and be happy for you while others are envious or jealous of you. One thing I've realized in my 40's is that it's okay to disagree and have your own opinion about you or others, but one thing we will agree on is respect. Regardless of whether someone likes you or not, in the words of my late grandmother, you don't let anyone treat you any kind of way.

Listen, if Jesus, who is perfect, had to deal with persecution from a certain group of people while being worshiped and praised by others, what makes us think we're any special compared to Him? We have to understand that we cannot control how people feel about us, whether they support us or not. We have to own our own space, not shrink for anybody, and be true to ourselves. Never feel like you owe anyone an explanation or have to dismiss your feelings. You know who supports you and who doesn't, so let them talk.

Jesus gives us the best example. In Matthew 5:43-44, the bible says, 'You have heard it said, you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' but Jesus says, 'Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.' Since Jesus faced persecution while also being praised, we should follow His advice to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us, it means people will talk about us whether it's good or bad. It's okay to set boundaries, even if they are congratulating or persecuting us; let them talk. As the song says, Let's give them something to talk about.'
