Robby Hoffman’s moving to Saskatchewan. Comedian Robby Hoffman joins Devon this week to discuss the influence of family and religion on her music taste, make a direct plea to The Cranberries, and to reveal that she may have served as the inspiration for some Chappell Roan lyrics.

Robby Hoffman is a small, ex-Hasidic, queer comedian who can be seen as the breakout star of season 4 of HBO Max’s Hacks; her performance has been hailed as “the future of comedy,” by Daily Beast, and as “an original comic talent,” by the Wall Street Journal.

Hoffman can also be seen in a memorable role on FX’s buzzy limited series Dying for Sex which she appears in a sexual guide to Michelle Williams’ character.

Hoffman’s new Netflix comedy special titled “Wake Up” premieres globally on December 14th, 2025. It was directed by fellow comedian John Mulaney.
