🤔 What do you do when you go through a traumatic medical procedure, that takes away your voice and your sense of smell?
You start a business called “The Party” of course, like Melissa Orkamo did!
You can’t find much about Melissa online. And that’s by design - she wanted her products to sell themselves. That has worked out really well for them. This interview was a rare opportunity for me to dig into behind the scenes of how she is building a creativity fuelled business, after leaving a comfortable and secure career in Risk Management & Compliance.
The Party’s signature products are customized cake toppers - and we explore how she is going about creating a long term, sustainable business out of these, one Scandinavian wood plank at a time!
