The Marwari family mocks both Achuki’s aspirations as well as her mother’s lack of a formal education. Will Achuki be able to reason with them or is negotiation the only way?

“फ se Field, श se Shiksha” is a series of 10 audio stories coming from the lived experiences and imaginations of education in rural India. How do we look at education outside classrooms? More importantly, who gets access to education at all? We explore all this and more, as members of our Learning Lab team take us along on their journeys of shiksha. In this episode, we meet Achuki's parents bickering over the question 'how educated should a woman in the family be?'

अचूकी से तो आप मिल ही चुके हैं. हैरत की बात यह है कि उसके मारवाड़ी समुदाय के लोग हमेशा उसके पीछे पड़े रहते हैं. वे अक्सर उसकी मां के कम पढ़े-लिखे होने का मज़ाक बनाते हैं. अपने सपनों और इच्छाओं को पूरा करने की उसकी ज़िद के लिए वे अचूकी की भी टांग-खिंचाई करते रहते हैं. क्या अचूकी चुपचाप उनकी बातें यूं ही सुनती रहेगी या उन्हें करारा जवाब देगी? या फिर बीच का रास्ता अपना लेगी? जानने के लिए सुनिए अचूकी की कहानी, खुद उसकी ज़ुबानी.

भारत के ग्रामीण इलाकों से निकले, शिक्षा के अनुभव और उनमें कल्पनाओं के पंख लगाए 10 कहानियों की यह ऑडियो शृंखला अब आपके सामने है. इस शृंखला की हर कहानी अपने आप में शिक्षा के अनुभवों और उन्हें देखने के नज़रिए से बिलकुल जुदा है. ये कहानियां सवाल करती हैं कि क्लासरूम के बाहर हम शिक्षा को कैसे देखते हैं? और उससे भी महत्त्वपूर्ण कि शिक्षा तक पहुंच किसकी है?
