By special request I’ll be documenting the training and preparation of Jan Corcoran #jantasticjourney as she prepares to take part in her first 100k Race when she represents Ireland at the Anglo Celtic Plate in Boddington, England on May 16th 2020. Jan started her running journey back in 2015 and completed her first marathon in that same year with a time of 3:43.44. Five years and six marathons later and she has lowered that Marathon time to 2:52.39. Most recently in February of this year she finished 2nd in the 50k National Championships / Donadea 50k in a time of 3:34.13 and achieved the International A Standard and could now run 50K over 10 minutes faster than her first Marathon (42.2K). She has since been selected to run on the Women’s Team at the Anglo Celtic Pate and that’s where we will begin….
