"The Big Print" By Lawrence Lepard- A Book For Investors On Bitcoin/Inflation
Manage episode 486945766 series 2845715
Season 2, Episode #50. Not Me, But YOU! Podcast. I share an excerpt from Lawrence Lepard's book, "The Big Print." He talks about inflation and money printing and inflation. And of course, he makes the case for Bitcoin to affect global markets in the next 5 to 10 years.
He tells a great story in the book about how he made "some money" on his Microsoft stock purchase/sale. But he MISSED out on a much larger gain because he SOLD TOO SOON! We can draw a parallel between his Microsoft stock purchase/sale and how people were skeptical of Microsoft in the 1980's, in part, because critics thought of Microsoft as "just a software company." These criticisms are similar to the criticism we hear today about Bitcoin.
For those of us, that already have/hold Bitcoin, the future looks very bright! What do you have to do? The answer is simple: Buy/hold Bitcoin. Do NOT sell it! That's it!
I go over the "buy, borrow, die" strategy that wealthy people use where they hold assets and take loans against a portion of it. That way they minimize tax payments because they are NOT selling the asset and paying capital gains tax!
I highly encourage every investor to get this book and read it. Larry (Lawrence) writes well and his book is easy to read/understand. It will help anyone gain a deeper understanding of what Bitcoin is and how it will play a major role in the global economy. One day, in our lifetime, things may be "priced" in Bitcoin. The Petrol dollar is in decline. Bitcoin may become the new world currency.
