Can minimalism be a radical act of self-definition, freeing us from the shackles of consumerism? That’s what we’re exploring in today's episode. Join my husband Chaz and me as we share our personal journey from a life cluttered with possessions to a purposefully minimalist lifestyle. We’re laying bare our pre-college life, dominated by consumerism, and our awakening to a simpler, more intentional existence. Hear about Chaz's natural inclination towards minimalism, born out of financial practicality, and how it reshaped our family's ethos.

Brace yourself for a deep dive into the concept of 'sacred simplicity' and the spiritual backbone of leading a simpler life. We're exploring, through the teachings of Jesus, how money and possessions often take up space that should belong to more profound experiences. We're discussing how deciding to own less can be a strong stance of self-definition, and how our family has embraced this perspective aligning our choices with our values.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • Exploring minimalism and fighting consumerism
  • Practicing sacred simplicity
  • Values purging, organizing, and alignment
  • Sacred simplicity and minimalism with kids
