Episode 105: On this episode, award winning author Paul Buckner joins me on the show. Paul is a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation, author, musician, and avid outdoorsman. The oral tradition of his Cherokee family drove him to collect folktales and stories of those he met in his travels across the U.S. Many of the stories have been passed down through several generations. It is these stories that provide inspiration for his writing. Paul grew up in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains and as a young boy spent many summers in the woods or on the lakes, creeks and rivers hunting, fishing, and camping. Those experiences led to a deep respect for the outdoors, traditional ways, and the natural environment.
Paul is an award-winning Amazon top selling author of the action/adventure series, Hawthorn Lake and its associated short story, The Lost Gold Mine of Idaho Springs and his latest book, Bigfoot, UFOs and the Paranormal: True Encounters.
Paul talked about a few of his strange encounters while hunting and about the possibility of them being Bigfoot encounters. He also talked about a hunting friends strange encounter. Paul went on to describe a bizarre UFO encounter he and his wife experienced and about how it spurred his interest in the subject. Paul also recounted his experience with paranormal experiences during sleep paralysis and about strange paranormal activity that has occurred in his home and about a strange occurrence where he experienced missing time.
